The point system is deliberately brutal. Only about a dozen racing series worldwide award superlicence points, and you need to finish in the top positions to get meaningful points.
This is why F1 drivers often spend years climbing the racing ladder — Formula 4, then Formula 3, then Formula 2. Each step awards more points but costs millions to compete in.
Even if you have the points, you need to pass medical tests, prove you can handle the G-forces, and show you understand F1's complex rules and safety procedures.
