Lando Norris Just Won a Sprint Race He Should Have Lost

Norris was six tenths slower than Hamilton in the opening sector — and still finished 14 seconds clear. That's not dominance. That's McLaren hiding a problem.

Lando Norris won the Miami sprint from pole. He led every lap. He crossed the line 21 seconds ahead of Hamilton. And he shouldn't have been anywhere near the front.

The data shows Norris was six tenths slower than Hamilton in Sector 1 on average pace. That's not a margin. That's a chasm.

Key Finding
Norris gave up over half a second in Sector 1 every lap and still won by 21 seconds. Either the Ferrari is a disaster after Turn 5, or the McLaren shouldn't have been on pole.
