Hamilton Didn't Lose This Race in Sector 1. He Lost It on Lap 1.

Everyone will point to the six-tenths Norris found in the opening sector. But the Ferrari driver was never close enough for it to matter.

Lando Norris was more than half a second faster than Lewis Hamilton through Sector 1. That sounds like the story of the Miami Sprint — McLaren's rocket ship, Ferrari's struggling SF-27, the usual 2026 narrative.

Except it isn't. Because Hamilton finished exactly where he started: P7. And Norris won from pole.
