Here's what actually happened: Hadjar had two separate lap times deleted for exceeding track limits at Turn 11 — laps 9 and 10, back-to-back infractions while he was already struggling for pace. Verstappen? One deletion, lap 8, and then he tidied it up and got on with his afternoon.

That's not bad luck. That's a driver who was overdriving the car trying to find grip that wasn't there. When you're comfortable, you don't put two wheels over the white line twice in two laps at the same corner. You do that when you're searching, when the car is sliding, when you're trying to extract something that isn't available.
