Bortoleto started on softs and did three laps total. He never got a second compound. He never got to feel the car across a longer run. He was sent out, asked to deliver a banker lap on a 52-degree track surface in brutal Miami heat, and then told to save tyres for the race.

And the four-second gap? That's not about talent. That's about one driver getting fourteen attempts to learn the grip level, tyre behaviour, and braking zones, while the other got three. You could put Max Verstappen in that car with a three-lap allocation and he'd be nowhere near his teammate either.
