The Red Bull was faster everywhere except the one place it mattered.

The Red Bull carried more speed everywhere else. It didn't matter.

Sector 2 at Barcelona is low-speed. Cambered apexes, traction zones, rotation. The kind of corners where aero efficiency helps less than a planted rear end. The McLaren has spent the last four upgrades chasing exactly that.
Verstappen's Sector 1 and Sector 3 advantages added up to 0.119 seconds. His Sector 2 deficit was larger. When you lose more in one place than you gain in two others, the mathematics are unkind.
