Alonso's Sector 2 Problem Has Been Here Before — And It Cost Him Then, Too

Half a second lost through Singapore's tight middle sector is the same weakness that cost Aston Martin in Monaco — and it's still not fixed.

Fernando Alonso lost half a second to Lando Norris in Singapore qualifying's middle sector — the stretch from Turn 8 through Turn 14, all slow-speed corners, all mechanical grip. If you watched Monaco qualifying in May, you've seen this exact problem before. The Aston Martin doesn't turn at low speed. It still doesn't.

Key Finding
Alonso lost half a second to Norris in Sector 2 alone. That's not a setup choice. That's a fundamental car problem.
